Photos from the only board track racing film known to exist. (According to research by professional studio in Hollywood that tried in vain to find another film.)
Film shows 10mls amateur race, 10mls sidecar race and 100mls professional race
featuring Teddy Carroll and - among many other stars - Gene Walker on 8 valve Indian.
Film states this was at Daytona, which is a mistake because there are no records of a
large board track in Florida. Most probably this was filmed at Sheepshead Bay, New York 2
mile board track on October 11th, 1919. Any help identifying location and date
appreciated.
Filmed by former Indian distributor of the Czech Republic Frantisek Marik. Film was found in 1995 under the bed of an old lady in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. Original film was restored by the famous Barrandov studios (former Eastern block's Hollywood) and reformatted for VHS-Video U.S. standard (NTSC). Excellent quality. Approx. 12 minutes.
VHS-Video: US-$ 25.00 plus $ 4.00 priority mail within U.S., prepaid. COD add $ 3.00
